Mr. K. P. Tsang, patient of Retinitis Pigmentosa, an inherited retinal degenerative disease. In March 1995, Mr. Tsang co-founded Retina Hong Kong (formerly known as the Hong Kong Retinitis Pigmentosa Society), a patients self-help organization, and has served as President since then. For many years, he has been devoted in providing information on retinal degenerations to Chinese-speaking communities, and has promoted multilevel communications channels between scientists, healthcare professionals, patients and their family in Hong Kong, China and the rest of the world. He has actively championed scientific research aiming at identifying the causes, as well as promoting prevention, treatment and cure of inherited retinal degenerative diseases.

Mr. Tsang is also a board member of Retina International, an umbrella organization of patients around the world.
